As the year winds down and the holiday season comes to a close, we like to take time to reflect on the past year. 2018 was a big year for Waterset and we know 2019 will be just as exciting. Here is just a little taste of the excitement from the past year.
Waterset by Newland Communities is pleased to add Pulte Homes, one of the country’s most recognized names in home construction, to its list of homebuilders.
The Southeast Building Conference (SEBC) has named Waterset by Newland Communities one of the top Master Planned Communities in the Southeast! Waterset was awarded a Silver Aurora Award, selected from entries representing industry professionals in 12 Southeastern states and the Eastern Caribbean.
Once again, Waterset was ranked in the Top 50 MPC’s by RCLCO Real Estate Advisors. RCLCO regularly lists the top Master-Planned Communities in the United States, and Waterset has made the list every year starting in 2016.
It’s official! For two quarters in a row, Waterset has ranked #1 in New Home Starts in Hillsborough County, according to MetroStudy. We think it’s pretty obvious why, but here are a few of our top reasons.
2017 was an exciting year for Waterset. We saw the opening of the Waterset Charter School, the groundbreaking of the newest Waterset amenity, and we were named one of the top 50 master-planned communities in the country. In 2018, we plan to grow Waterset into an even bigger and better community for our residents to enjoy.
It is amazing to think that it has already been five years since our Grand Opening! Since opening in October 2012, Waterset has seen tremendous growth - along with the rest of the SouthShore area.
Builders in Newland Communities' four Tampa Bay master-planned communities, Bexley, FishHawk Ranch, Waterset and MiraBay, were recognized at the 2017 Parade of Homes, presented by the Tampa Bay Builders Association.
Waterset by Newland Communities has been recognized with a Gold award in the 2015 Best in American Living™ Awards (BALA) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Waterset was honored in the Best Single-Family Community, 100 units and over.
More than 200 individual professionals, ranging from real estate experience, to finance, entitlement, planning and engineering, community design, construction legal, research, marketing, and sales carry out Newland Communities’ vision of delivering sustainable homes.
Locals know that Tampa has a lot to offer its residents – an affordable cost of living, great schools, lots of cultural activities, and an abundance of water activities. Oh, and don’t forget about our professional sports teams and burgeoning downtown.
The Landing, a community gathering place for residents of Waterset, recently earned a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council for energy efficiency and sustainability.
